Ashanti Regional Police Commander Meets Sanso Residents To Calm Tension
He pleaded with the inhabitants to stay calm regarding the current happenings in the community.

Inhabitants at Sanso, a community in the Obuasi Municipal of the Ashanti region recently demonstrated against their chief over alleged fraud.
The residents accused their chief Nana Bawuah Afiamoah otokuo of wrongfully pocketing an amount of 330,000 dollars which was supposed to go into the coffers of the community as compensation money for the relocation of the Sanso community.
The residents were accused of destroying some properties and the palace as well after a massive demonstration was held on April 29, at Sanso.
However, the Ashanti regional police commander, DCOP Afful Boakye engaging the media, debunked the allegations leveled against the demonstrators after visiting the community with his team on May 7, 2022.
He pleaded with the inhabitants to stay calm regarding the current happenings in the community.
But the residents disagree with the police commander.
They rather demand urgent engagement with the authority to address their concerns else they won't back off.
