The Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission of Ghana has warned residents of the Savannah Region to stop hunting for bushmeat.

The division claims the rate at which groups of hunters venture the forest reserves of the Savannah Region is foulmouthed therefore there is the need to enforce the laws of Ghana regarding hunting.

Speaking to the media on Monday at the Mole National Park, the Manager of Mole Wildlife Reserve Mr. Ali Mahama said people who are into group hunting for the game will face full force by the Commission in the Region.

He said group hunting is prohibited by law hence the practice must stop.

Mr. Ali however warned the people of Busunu, Mankpan, and Daboya areas to stop or face the wrath of the Commission in a joint task force with the Police and the military.
