Apprehend the killers of the fulanis - Opinion leader in Yendi to Police

An opinion leader in the Yendi Municipality of the Northern Region, Mr. Musah Mohammed has called for the immediate arrest of the killers of about seven Fulanis in Zakoli and the Linkin Community.

Five others also sustain severe injuries and were rushed to the Yendi Government hospital for medical attention.

The opinion leader who visited the community confirmed the action of the attackers, saying that it could cause further reprisal attacks if another tribe that may want to defend the Fulanis.

"We are appealing to the police not to leave any stone unturned, they should try and investigate proper and apprehend those culprits, they have picked some of the Fulanis motorbikes away".

According to him, the further action of the killers believed to be Konkomba's amount to stealing, “If it was a crime the Fulani people have committed why should you come and pick their motorbikes after killing them".

Mr. Musah noted that the attackers should have reported the wrong of the Fulanis to a nearby chief, and not killed them like fowls.
