Angry Chiefs and residents of Enyan Abaasa in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region have shown their disappointment in the government for neglecting them in terms of development.

On behalf of the Chiefs in the Enyan Abaasa Community, the Gyaasehene of Enyan Abaasa, Nana Kojo Okyere IV in an interview with Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful said, Enyan Abaasa Community have been neglected in terms of development hence they contribute to the development of the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District.

According to the Chief, the community is lacking so many developmental projects aside from all the monies the Assembly receive through market levies.

The main road Enyan Abaasa leading to Enyan Nkodwo has turned into a forest, with gully gutters that have been a death trap to the people in the community.

The Chief, referring to the 2016 campaign message said, "politicians came to our community and promise to construct our road for us, they ask as to provide invoices, estimate on the road of which we did, but we heard nothing till now".

"The community with it own money buy covert for a bridge which has destroyed because the politicians deceived us"

The Chief hinted that they have given the government two months ultimatum to come and start all the abandoned projects in the Enyan Abaasa Community else the entire Community will match to the Jubilee House to demonstrate.

He said, the three toilet facilities which were in operation during the election campaign time have been left rotten in a bush causing financial loss to the state and according to him, the politicians did it to win votes.

"The excavators and tipper trucks the contractor used in constructing the road from Enyan Abaasa to Enyan Main, Enyan Onyaadze and Enyan Nsaawadze has been rejected on the Enyan Abaasa Methodist School part causing fear and panic."

"Enyan Abaasa is really active in terms of communal labour and fighting for their development by their own money but politicians have made obstacles for such initiatives".

He told Soireenews that the community has been able to provide their own Health Center, Technical School, Ambulance for their Hospital without government assistance yet politicians are always on their necks for votes during the polls.

He finally added to it that, they will celebrate this year's Festival at the Jubilee House with a massive demonstration to seek for development in the Enyan Abaasa Community.
