The complete abandoned of the construction of health center and Junior High School building projects which started in 2016 at Akyem Zevor community in the Akyemansa District of Eastern Region have made the chiefs and their elders cry out and lamented they have been neglected by the successive governments.

In this regard, the chiefs on behalf of the people of the Akyem Zevor community have called on the government to help complete their health center and Junior High School building project which was started by the former government.

According to the chiefs, the two projects have been abandoned since 2016 after failed efforts to get the authorities to finish them.

Addressing a press conference
at Akyem Zevor community yesterday, Okyeame Togbe Abraham Anyavi revealed that the health personnel work in someone's borrowed house whilst their health center project with nurses quarters has been abandoned in the bush to rot after it had gotten to the lintel level.

He added that the community JHS classroom building project which has been halted since 2016 is also a major challenge to them because teachers who got posted into the school later seek transfer because of the current school structure which isn't pleasant for the education system.

Okyeame Togbe Abraham Anyavi appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to come to their aid and complete the two major projects which have been their headache.

Some of the elders and people in the Akyem Zevor community spoke to the media and pleaded with the government to help them complete their health center with nurses' quarters and school abandoned projects to strengthen education and health service in the community.
