Akufo-Addo’s State Of The Nation Address Useless And Bogus - Concerned Drivers Association

In a statement signed and issued by the leadership of CDAG in person of Nana Owiredu, Paa Willie and David Agboado, the Association stated that looking at the contents of the statement of address by the President clearly shows that ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) under the leadership of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akoto-Addo has no recognition for the transportation industry.

The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana (CDAG),has stated launched a blistering attack at President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, describing his current State Of The Nation delivered in House of Parliament on Wednesday March 8, 2023 as useless and bogus.
 
In a statement signed and issued by the leadership of CDAG in person of Nana Owiredu, Paa Willie and David Agboado, the Association stated that looking at the contents of the statement of address by the President clearly shows that ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) under the leadership of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akoto-Addo has no recognition for the transportation industry. 
The statement which was copied to Soireenews.com noted that it is  been seven years and his administration cannot point at any meaningful development by his outfit at transport sector. 
According to the statement, recent "stomach direction "state of the Nation address has really informed us ,its about time stakeholders within the transport sector realised President Akufo-Addo and his NPP are our worst enemy. 
The statement noted that during the address yesterday ,the transport sector was sidelined and not recognised by the president 
The statement pointed out that under Former President John Dramani Mahama ,many transportation stations were constructed to help improver the the industry. 
It stressed that the Kasoa new station, Kejetia terminal, Procurement of about 495 buses among others were done to boost our industry under the former President. 
"Even under the able leadership of President John Agyekum Kuffour ,he also constructed the Achimota bus terminal and may buses were been imported to equip the Metro Mass transit among other relevant measures which aid the growth of the transport sector. 
"Its Only under this failed Nana Addo government that, the transportation industry is always faced with challenges and increments," the statement noted. 
The statement asserted that the current NPP government only increases duty on vehicles, increase prices of income, road worthy, rampant increment of fuel prices among other things which  discourages investors into our sector. 
The statement called on "our sister Unions and associations to keep on working to support the ordinary Ghanaians we serve . 
"We urge all the rivers Unions to remain resolute as the wait will soon be over," it concluded.
