Akuapem Poloo will continue 90-day jail term

An appeal that sought to challenge the slay queen’s 90-day jail term has been dismissed by the High Court in Accra.

Rosemond Brown, much known as Akuapem Poloo will continue her 90-day jail term at the Nsawam Prison.

The actress was earlier sentenced for her Instagram post where she went naked while posing with her seven-year-old son in June 2020.

The Child Rights International petitioned the Ghanaian Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to look into the matter and the actress was arrested and sentenced to a 90-day in jail.

Akuapem Poloo pleaded “guilty” to three counts of publication of “obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence namely a conduct that in any way undermine another person’s privacy or integrity, and engaging in domestic violence namely conduct that in any way detracted or was likely to detract from another person’s dignity and worth as a human being.”

An appeal was filed by her Lawyer which sought to challenge the slay queen’s 90-day jail term but has been dismissed by the High Court in Accra.

This means that Akuapem Poloo will continue serving her jail term sentence.
