Angry Chief claims ownership of land, leads landguards to demolish Houses

The case has been reported to Mankessim Divisional Police for an investigation and the Chief of Ajumako Bisease Nana Damfo Baah has denied speaking on the matter.

Angry Chiefs and Elders of Ajumako Bisease have led over five land guards to demolish a three-bedroom house at Ajumako Bisease in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.

The Chief, Nana Damfo Baah claim the land belongs to them.

According to the affected people, Nana Damfo Baah and six people suspected to be land guards stormed their house with guns and started firing warning shots, walked them out of the house and demolished the building.

They told Soireenews that an excavator was hired to demolish the home in the absence of occupants.

"As at now we don't have any place to sleep, we are now staying without friends and relatives in their room which is not good for them" they hinted.

They made known that an old woman in her 80's collapsed after seeing her home in ruins 

Speaking in an interview with Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful, some of the eyewitnesses who saw the demolition also narrated that, the suspected land guards numbering about 10 smoked weed, poured libations first and before beginning the demolishing exercise.

Meanwhile, the Head of Asona K Royal Family Obaatan Kweku Tako also appealed to the Inspector General of Police to come into their aid and intervene with them to get their house and land back.

They are therefore appealing to the IGP, Central Regional Police Commander and Ajumako Police Commander to come into their aid.
