THE ANGLICAN Bishop of Cape Coast Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Victor Reginald Atta- Baffoe, has advised Ghanaians against selling their conscience to politicians for money ahead of the 2024 general election.

According to Rt. Rev. Dr. Atta-Baffoe, selling your conscience to politicians for money means the development of the nation has been sold to politicians and thereby they can decide on whether to engage in developmental projects or recoup their investments by depriving us of our right to social amenities.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Victor Reginald Atta- Baffoe made the above statement during the Holy Redeemer Anglican Church centenary anniversary in Agona Kwanyarko of the Central Region.
"As a Christian nation, our conscience must reflect on the kind of leaders we vote into office. If we fall for money and allow politicians to buy our conscience, the nation will be doomed with bad leaders because we voted for money and not competence," the Rt. Rev. Dr. Reginald Atta-Baffoe said.

He also urged all Ghanaians to exercise their constitutional rights by taking part in the upcoming elections on December 7.
"As we prepare to go to the polls, let's all take part in the elections and refrain from fighting, politics of insults and attacks but rather engage in politics of policies to enable the electorate to vote for the right person," he advised.
Touching on youth development, Rt. Rev. Dr. Atta-Baffoe said the youth should take technical and vocational education training (TVET) seriously to help address youth unemployment in the country.
He also advised the youth to eschew all forms of social vices and desist from being agents of destruction.
"Do not allow yourselves to be used by politicians for selfish gains. Take charge of your life," he stressed.
In addition, he commended the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr (Mrs), who is a member of the Holy Redeemer Anglican Church at Kwanyarko, for showing the way of Christian politics for development.
In a brief history, Rev. Can. Dominic Charles Obu-Cann Resident Priest, HRAC, said the Holy Redeemer Anglican Church was established in 1923.

As part of the centenary anniversary, dedicated members were given meritorious service awards by the church.
