Pontoon Ferrying Passengers In Afram Plains Hail Station Officer For Bringing Transformation To Ferry Services From Ekye Amanfrom To Adawso
According to the passengers and drivers, Mr. Mavin Okaikoi,who is popularly known in the area as station Officer has brought dynamism on how operations of the ferry services has changed in the area comparing to the previous administration.

THE SCORES of pontoon ferrying passengers and cum drivers in Afram Plains of the Eastern Region have commended the Station Officer (SO) in charge of ferry transportation services from the Ekye Amanfrom to Adawso, Mr.Mavin Okaikoi for working hard to bring a great transformation to the pontoon that plies between Kwahu Adawso and Ekye-Amanfrom.
"We the passengers and drivers who ply the Pantoo from Ekye Amanfrom to Adawso want to hail the Station Officer for bringing a ‘servant leader’ in his dynamic, dedication and hardworking operation for ensuring growth and progress in inland water transportation in the area," they stressed
According to the passengers and drivers, Mr. Mavin Okaikoi,who is popularly known in the area as station Officer has brought dynamism on how operations of the ferry services has changed in the area comparing to the previous administration.
They said that he tried to bring change in the operation of ferrying services in the area due his good affiliation and collaborations with the stakeholders, drivers and passengers.
They indicated that his calm interactions with passengers and his engagement with driver unions, most especially, how the change of take-off time of the ferry has improved and helped boast their businesses.
They said Mr Okaikoi has been very committed to the provision of adequate accessibility of the ferry (Pantoo) for all residents who plies the pontoon between Kwahu Adawso and Ekye-Amanfrom in order to go about their businesses.
They mentioned that Mr Okaikoi's hard work is greatly assisting the people of Kwahu Afram Plains and its adjoining environs.
Stakeholders said the station officer has also made huge contributions to improve the environment and to bring about discipline at the port during his time as the station Officer.
"Not only the Station Officer, but also all the staff for their hard work and commitment," they added.
They were also challenged not to relent in their efforts and assured them they would continue to give them the necessary support in their operations.
Additionally,they used the opportunity to highlight some challenges they are facing and urged the management to heed to their appeal.
