The Nation Builders Corp Trainees Association of Ghana (NABTAG) have appreciated Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s determination to ‘lay the foundational angle for the operationalization of the permanent employment agenda’ for NABCO with the Module Implementation Partners (MIPs).

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo earlier urged the MIPs to employ trainees of the NABCO programme first when employment opportunities arise during the 1st anniversary of its inception yet beneficiaries hopes seemed derailed as the period of training slowly got to a close, which raised concerns that should the opposition be rewarded power in the upcoming polls, the scheme will be banished along with knowledge acquired through their online and direct instructions via its Designated Learning Centres across all regions of the country.

Executives of the scheme petitioned the government on the permanent employment of trainees and per the statement released and signed by NABCO Trainees Association of Ghana on Friday, October 2, 2020, the scheme originators have communicated with User Agencies to make 'permanent employment' of NABCO personnel their greatest priority after service.

“In view of the consultations being made with User Agencies, otherwise known as Module Implementation Partners (MIPs) to lay the foundational angle for the operationalization of the permanent employment agenda, the executives of NABTAG deem it expedient to register its appreciation to His Excellency the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and other supporting stakeholders for anchoring such a great step," the statement said.

In view of this, NABTAG has thrown their support behind the ruling government for ‘staying committed to building the Nation through its leadership of service template' and have called on trainees to ‘remain calm and keep fulfilling their part of the bargain by working hard in their respective institutions,’ a measure of commitment to restore the good image of Ghana in their respective workplaces.

The Association in response to government's concern have also promised to rally their support behind the New Patriotic Party Government in the upcoming elections, a step undertaken by some NABCO beneficiaries already to support the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s government in an effort to save the life of the scheme from the opposition who intends to trade it for 'Okadaism' in case they assume power.

“The leadership of the current political gear is making the nation great; which gives us a strong conviction that its second term in office will amount to an elevated point of the socio-economic growth. It would be tantamount to best decision to keep laying the necessary structures on the foundation created by the NPP government through our concerted effort to vote 4More2DoMore come December 7th,” the statement ended.
