Ahafo Minister Completes first Phase of Visits to Paramount Chiefs

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. George Boakye, has ended the first phase of his visits to the Paramount Chiefs in the Ahafo Region.

He commenced the tour last Monday to present himself to the chiefs and also show appreciation for his acceptance.

A visit to the Duayaw Nkwanta palace, Mr. George Boakye expressed his profound gratitude to the  Paramount Chief (Manhene) of Duayaw Nkwanta traditional area, Nana Boakye Tromo, and his elders, and to the entire Duayaw Nkwanta Municipality for the warm reception honoured him.

He thanked the elders and people of Dua Yaw Nkwanta for their massive support so far.

He declared his vision to ensure unity and peace whiles creating massive employment opportunities for the youth.

He assured Nananom and the gathering that quick steps shall be taken to ensure the fire service training academy is completed as well as the Regional Highway Department.

The Omanhene of Duayaw Nkwanta traditional area; Nana Boakye Tromo in his welcome address expressed much happiness for the appointment of the Ahafo minister.

He said Mr. George Boakye comes with vast experience in the Ahafo political landscape, serving as a two-term DCE and one-term Member of Parliament.

The Omanhene appealed to him to continue to unite the good people of Ahafo for massive development.

The Minister was accompanied by the Chief Director of the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council Mr. Ebenezer Asamoah and heads of the various units, Ahafo Regional Chairman of NPP Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere, Member of the Council of State; Nana Yaw Basoa, Municipal Chief Executive; Hon Ernest Kwarteng and other leading members of the New Patriotic Party.

The next tour shall commence after the Easter holidays.
