6 Persons in Ahafo Region of Ghana are set to contest for Council to Contest Elections

The Ahafo Regional Office of the Electoral Commission (EC) has received nominations of six persons to contest the impending council of state elections.
Mr. John Appiah Baffoe, the Regional Director EC confirmed to Soiree news through a notice of poll at the Commission’s Office on Tuesday at Goaso, the capital of the region.
The nominees are Mr. Gyambibi Frank 46 years, Nana Yaw Bosoa 63, Cecilia Gyan Amoah,73-years.
The rest are Okoako Stephen,76 years, Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Sarfo 65 years and Kwaku Owusu Kesse aged 67.
About council of State
The Council of State in Ghana is a small body of prominent citizens, which advises the President on national issues.
Its membership, according to the Fourth Republican Constitution should include a former Chief Justice of Ghana, a former Chief of Defence Staff, and a former Inspector General of Police.
