The Paramount Chief of Abease Traditional area in the Pru West district of the Bono East Region, Obrempong Kru Takyi II has commended President Akufo-Addo on the creation of Bono East Region.

According to him during the celebration of this year Kwabena yam festival, the creation of the region will help bring development at the doorsteps of the people especially when residents come together and embrace the inventive policies of the government.

Obrempong Kru Takyi II commended the people of Abease for making the 2020 general election peaceful and appealed to parents to spend on their wards education than buying clothes because the children's are the future of this country.

"Education is now the key to all things in this world. The development of every nation rest on it and the major part of country governance is as a result of knowledge.

"As leaders, we cannot watch our wards engage in drug abuse for the purpose of creating pleasurable effects on the brain whiles we invest in ourselves. They must be groomed with education to better lives in this community."

He added that creation of the additional six (6) regions is enhancing developmental projects in the Bono East region especially Pru West before giving thanks to the almighty God for credible and transparent elections outcome in 2020.

"The president's decision to create additions region will help to bring development within the Bono East and West Districts. We are very grateful."
