Rhino Truck Mate Dies After fallen Off a cocoa bag he was Sleeping on 

A Rhino truck, conveying cocoa from Akyem Tafo and the Akyem Osiem Stretch, met his untimely death following an accident involving the said truck, whose mate was sleeping on Cocoa bags on Akyem Tafo an Osiam road in the Eastern Region.

The deceased popularly known as Pogasty was fast asleep on bags of cocoa loaded in a bucket of a Rhino truck, pushing him on the street humiliated by the commodities.

According to Tafo police, "the truck failed a break, as a result, the driver lost control of the steering wheel as the vehicle veered off the road, adding that some of the cocoa bags begun to fell from the bucket which the driver's mate who was far asleep fell off the truck and crashed his head on the road before the truck crashed".

"They opined that the mate sustained serious head injuries on the head and other parts of the body and was hurriedly rushed to Osiem Hawa hospital, and later on transferred to Koforidua St. Josephs Regional Hospital to run other important clinical laboratory tests to help facilities and restore his condition".

"The driver's mate (Pogasty) was subsequently transferred to Korle Bu teaching hospital and was pronounced dead while on admission".

Meanwhile, the driver of the truck has been treated and discharged.
