The development and progress of communities within Districts depend on equitable sharing of the National cake by the Central Government through the District Assembly.

The Odikro of Ayipey in Asikuma-Odoben- Brakwa District in the Central Region, Nana Kwaku Enyan III, has bitterly expressed his displeasure on how the National cake is shared in his area. Odikro commenting on social amenities emphasized that the communities in his area are underdeveloped. The resident in the area does not benefit any project from the Assembly but also contribute massively towards the national development.

Nana Kwaku Enyan III affirmed that the roads that link Asikuma and two bridges to other surrounding communities hinder the transport of Cocoa and foodstuffs to the market and calls for government intervention.
