Pastor E.A. Adeboye is a perfect example of a man who has mastered the art of serenity.

The man of God navigates contemporary issues with ease while also setting an example for the people that look up to him. He has once again, given a simple and yet effective lesson on how to handle opinions that differ from his own view.

A little under 24 hours ago, he took to Twitter to celebrate his wife's birthday by writing a thread on his Twitter page about the vital lessons he has learned (and he feels other people should learn) from the way his darling wife has handled herself in their union.

Naturally, the thread sparked mixed reactions from the ever woke Netizens that abide in the murky streets of Twitter. Two prominent factions -one as a consequence of the other- emerged; on the one hand, were the people who voiced out their opinions that his thread was a direct show of Patriarchy ( in the sense that he made his wife's birthday about himself and showed the whole world how submissive she is to him) and on the other hand, are the people who disagree with them.

The first faction, commonly referred to as "Woke Twitter" (a term for people who display minimal levels of restraint when it comes to sensitive matters encompassing a wide range of issues) were quick to uphold the creed of feminism, as they pointed out that the man of God should not have spoken in the way he did.

"The definition of wife material in our country is a slavery woman. Acts like doll baby you're a good woman"

"Can't believe Adeboye really sat down & found a way to make his wife's birthday about himself and his power over her. a simple "happy birthday my love" will do next time please"

The second faction defended his thread, as they pointed out that it takes wisdom to understand wisdom, that the man of God was teaching on how to have a peaceful marriage while celebrating his wife at the same time.

"Pastor Adeboye decided to praise his wife on her birthday, thereby commenting on what has kept them together till date. But fools that can’t keep 6 months relationship are insulting him and turned it into a gender war."

"His power over her? Lol, lol. That's actually her power over him And in your mind now, you are feminist by the tweet.Lol"

These are just a couple of reactions from the multitude of opinions under the comments section of the thread.

Pastor E.A. Adeboye, who previously admitted that he has nothing against people that have something against him, will as always remain above it all by not dignifying the comments with a response, because he knows that everyone is entitled to his own opinion.

There's nothing wrong is having contrary opinions to another, and if he were to say something on the matter he would advise the faction who are defending him by hurling insults at the other faction for having a diverse opinion because insulting another isn't Christlike.

The man of God however got his points across to his followers, who recognized the teachings as the same one from his daily devotional.
