American businessman, Henry Mauriss has been reported as the man behind the £350m bid lodged for Newcastle United’s takeover from Mike Ashley according to Sky Sports.

The deal initially was that the Saudi fund (PIF), controlled by Prince Mohammed bin Salman purchase and would hold 80 percent of the club shares, while Amanda Staveley, a British businesswoman notable chiefly for her connections with Middle Eastern investors also to owe 10 percent of the shares and it is expected that she will play a key role in the running of the club.

With further investigations as to who is taking over the Magpies, Henry Mauriss has been revealed.
