Liverpool need to gain just two points to win the Premier League title after a 4-0 distinction performance against Crystal Palace on Wednesday Night.

The results means if nearest challengers Manchester City fail to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night, the Reds will be crowned champions, and City beat Chelsea, Liverpool can win the title by avoiding defeat at City on July 2.

The Reds after the Merseyside derby draw started the game stronger, dominating possession in the early minutes and hitting Crystal Palace by the long balls towards the front three by the laterals.

Trent Arnold Alexander opened the scores in the 23-minuted through superb, curling free-kick from 25 yards into the top right corner giving Hennessey no absolute chance to save.

Salah doubled the lead a minute to finish the first half. Fabinho spotted the Egyptian running in-behind on the right of the box and found him perfectly with a lofted ball.

The intensity of the Reds game lifted in the second half and the third goal was found 10 minutes after the break. Robertson squared the ball to Fabinho, and he has absolutely no right to have a go. With a little back lift, the Brazilian hit the ball and it flew past Hennessey into the right corner of the net.

Mane added the fourth after receiving a perfect through ball from Salah down on goal, one touch, two touch, and then he slotted beyond Hennessey from inside the box.

Crystal Palace are ninth on 42 points as the Reds extended their top-flight record to 23 consecutive home victories scoring 67 goals in those 23 wins while conceding just 15 in reply.
