Western Region: We Can not Do Our Work Effectively Due To The Unpaid Debt Of NHIS- PHM Health Director Reviewed.

 He added that the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality is placed second in the Western Region when it comes to population and land size but they have only one vehicle for movement as well as accommodation for health workers are also a big challenge to the health directorate of which they are calling on the government to come to their aid.

The municipal health director for Prestea Huni-valley of the Western Mr. Joseph Kwame Sampson has revealed that the Prestea Huni-valley Municipal Hospital cannot work effectively due to the unpaid debt of the National Health insurance Secretarial Of which they are pleading to the National health insurance Secretarial to pay them on time so that the hospital can boost up its work effectively.

Mr.Joseph Kwame Sampson revealed this  during the 2021 annual health performance review held by the Prestea Huni-valley Municipal health directorate on 24th of February 2022

Mr. Joseph Kwame Sampson continues that, the Municipal Hospital mostly worked based on the internally generated funds of which most of which are owned by the National health insurance Secretarial. 

 He added that the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality is placed second in the Western Region when it comes to population and land size but they have only one vehicle for movement as well as accommodation for health workers are also a big challenge to the health directorate of which they are calling on the government to come to their aid.

Also the Municipal chief executive of the Prestea Huni-valley Hon. Dr. Isaac also complained bitterly about a situation in which his Municipal does not have an NHIS office. He said the assembly has the facility with even a stand by the generator of which they are waiting for a signal for the office to start operating but they are not getting it but the assembly is still working hard to get it done.

Finally, the chief of Bogoso Grade one Odefour Kateng also appeal to the government to upgrade the ongoing construction of the Bogoso polyclinic to Hospital and also help solve the problem of bad road network in the Municipality which will help the people to able to visit the various chips compound and Hospital when they are sick.
