Kuami Eugene has earmarked himself as the man to break the Grammy Award drought for Ghana.

In his latest interview with Giovanni on Showbiz 360, he challenged Ghanaians to rally behind him with the promise of delivering at least one Grammy Award.

According to Highlife and Afrobeat singer, with adequate support, he will actualise his great plans for his musical career.

"I have come a long way in the industry, and the support so far is good. There are more hit songs to be released this year ".

"My song has been doing very well since its release and key influencers like Sarkodie, Okyeame has jumped on the song plus it’s has gotten a lot of views since".

Kuami Eugene has always fancied himself to win the top awards.

He recently defended himself against people who believe that he is only entitled to awards when the big hitters like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy aren't in play.

”I don’t agree with people who say I don’t deserve to be nominated in the Artiste of the Year category. I deserved to be nominated and i would be glad if i win it as well. Last year, i had two of the biggest songs; Obiaato and Ohemaa, and i played loads of shows...

"With all the works I did, and people still say I don’t deserve to be nominated and even win the Artiste of the Year" he had said.

The Lynx Entertainment signee, who has been sweeping the scene off its feet has been on tour promoting his newest single, ‘Dollar on you’.

Launched just under two weeks, the song has garnered massive support from industry players home and abroad.
