Arsenal's pursuit of William is close following The Times report that the London club have offered the Brazilian a three-year productive contract.

The player’s deal with Chelsea will be done fulfilling at the end of August 2020 making him a free agent to join any team of his choice. Chelsea are interested in renewing his contract on a short term basis but the 31-year old is demanding a three-year extension or no deal.

The midfielder earlier rejected a two-year deal to be part of Lampard’s development as his move to the Emirates is reaching a point of no return.

The signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech is a boost for Lampard who seems not ready to give old players much playing time after a successful campaign with most of the young players.

Chelsea’s ability to secure Kai Havertz will be a sign-off message for a few players whiles Ben Chilwell’s acquisition will open a new chapter for the Blues who recently lost the FA cup final to Arsenal.
