Ghanaian artiste, Shatana has explained why she once almost spanked Akuapem Poloo on stage.

The sister of the late Ghanaian musician, Terry Bonchaka narrated that she and Akuampem Poloo were called to speak to the audience of the Ghana Student Awards. Instead of speaking Akuapem Poloo decided to mount the stage to twerk.

She stated that she had first politely asked Akuapem to stop dancing and do her job, but Akuepem Poloo would not listen. This, she narrated was the main reason that she had attempted to spank the slay queen when she was about to twerk in front of her again on stage at the awards.

"We were asked to grace Ghana Students Awards and speak to the audience, Akuapem Poloo mounted the stage and started twerking. I spoke to her to stop but she refused so I beat her”

“I had warned Akuapem Poloo on numerous occasions to never practice twerking in my presence, but it seems she did not heed to my call and that’s why I disciplined her right on the stage, more so I believe this will go a long help her change in the nearest future,” she said.

Shatana further revealed that she had been telling Akuapem Poloo to be decent around her whenever they meet up and she does not like to see her friend embarrassing herself by twerking all the time.

" I told Akuapem Poloo several times on a couple of shows that the next time she will twerk in my presence I will find cane and lash her. Unconsciously I didn’t even intend to do that so when she was twerking, I was searching for the cane to lash her but I couldn’t find one so I started chasing her to beat her and she started somersaulting over the place and finally I caught her and gave her some beatings here and there. I held her hands and wanted to beat her more but because I don’t want to promote violence in the entertainment industry so I just have to put a stop to it.”

She also admitted that she would not stop trying to instil discipline into her colleagues head as it seems like she does not know what's good for herself. 

"Akuapem Poloo herself after the program I told her that anytime I see her twerking again I will beat her and I will not stop beating her until she put a stop to it because there are children in the Country and they cannot destroy the upcoming children and those who have future with the twerking. She can do it in her bedroom but not to bring it to social media and also open doors.”
