Speaking on Nigeria's ADBN TV, Lecky noted that during his recent social media outburst, musician Wizkid called renowned music boss Don Jazzy of Nigeria a mere "influencer," which was extremely impolite."

While I'm not familiar with the specifics of the situation, I do think that Wizkid's use of the work influencer was intended to be viewed unfavorably based on what I've read in the press.

"Yes, I believe that was his main argument. It's true that many people view influencers as unemployed individuals.

"This one, the degree she carries, she couldn't get work and now she's dancing on Instagram," is a common sentiment among individuals. Just what the majority of people consider to be an influencer.

This is why it's common to see people attempting to identify themselves as a certain kind of influencer, such as a fashion or lifestyle influencer, because the term influencer these days only connotes "this one no get work."

You must now profile it because of this. I consider myself, for example, to be a social influencer because I work in the social sphere rather than just social media.

Consequently, I would want to be referred to as a social advocacy influencer if that is what it means to be termed that. Since I am aware that influencers frequently feel that they are lacking in anything substantial, I included that one.
