The Headmaster of Methodist Senior High School in the Sekondi-Takoradi of the Western Region, Mr. George Twineboah Koduah today has urged the Methodist Church Ghana to support the education institution in the Western Region.

According to him, "MESEC" as affectionately known in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis lacks facilities like dormitories, administrative offices, science laboratories among others.

He said, if the aforementioned facilities are in place will enhance teaching and learning.

Mr. Koduah made this on behalf of the school during the official visit of "The Most Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo", the presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church to the Western Region.

Addressing the presiding Bishop and his entourage and teachers, Mr. Twineboah tabled a motion before the Methodist Church to consider the converting Methodist Senior High School (MESEC) Girls' School.

The Presiding Bishop, Doctor Paul Kwabena Boafo in his response said he is overwhelmed with the state and performance of the school.

The Most Rev. Doctor Paul Kwabena Boafo, knowing the status of schools in Ghana, said modern schools have their policies as well as the day schools.

He further said, the school should first consider getting hostels and he pledged the church’s full support.
