The Western North Regional Minister, Honourable Richard Obeng has advertised to Ghanaian companies interested in Mining legally to visit his Region.

The Western North Regional Minister, Honourable Richard Obeng, has pledged to provide the needed support for Ghanaian companies interested in Mining legally.

Honourable Richard Obeng made this remark when he paid a day visit to Chrisphil Goldfield company limited in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North.

Speaking with Soireenews reporter Nattybongo, Hon Richard Obeng stated that the visit was to enable to have first-hand information about the proposed community mining site and also access their operation.

Interaction with the Chrisphil Goldfield company, the Regional Minister expressed satisfaction for the progress of work made so far at the site and commended them for reclamation of the destroyed land using to plant thousands of coconut trees.

The Operational Manager of Chrisphil Goldfield company limited, Mr Henry Okum stated that in his outfit has begun a reclamation programme and also planted more than one thousand trees of coconut on degraded land.

Mr Okum appealed to the authorities in charge of the acquisition of mining licenses to speed up the process to enable them to operate fully and contribute their quota to the development of the Western North region and Ghana as well.
