Measures are been put in place over the years to curb illegalities in Ghana'sforest reserves, but the fight still remained the old way despite all efforts.

Due to deforestation in the country's forest reserves, there has been a massive climate change over some time now, which is a threat to livelihood.

The forestry commission day in and out advises the general public on how to come together as one to manage our reserves but the recalcitrant ones are always found guilty.

Meanwhile, the Bekwai District Forestry Manager, Redford Damoah said all is not lost if care is taken.

In an interview with Yaw Opoku Soiree news correspondent, the manager stressed that measures are in place to curb the menace, but they are unable to succeed due to the fightback by some top position holders.

He is therefore cautioning the general public and the opinion leaders to abide by their rules and regulations as a matter of urgency, otherwise, Ghana will lose its natural forest in the next five years.
