The Concern Youth have threatened to cease and beat any politician who will campaign at the Ajumako Ochiso Community in the next polls if they fail to fulfil their campaign promises on roads.

Speaking to Soireenews, the youth opened that they are fed up with politicians empty promises during every election year which has seen no development in the Ajumako Ochiso Community.

They said, the duration from Ajumako to Agona Swedru is a 20-minute drive but due to the bad state of the road, drivers spend almost two hours which economically affects them, with parts of the stretch becoming a death trap for the people who ply on especially pregnant woman.

They have therefore given Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and his government a one-month ultimatum to resolve their road challenge else they will block the deplorable highway.

"We want to see contractor working on the road within one month time else we are going to block the road and will disallow anybody to use it. After all nobody can question us," the Angry Youth revealed.

"And if the government attacks us with Police or Soldiers, we will also face them equally" they added.

The Assembly Man for Ajumako Ochiso South, Honourable Maxwell Mensah attributed that the road's greatest challenge is a 96-year old bridge in the Ajumako Ochiso Community. He explained that the recent nature of the bridge is dangerous for drivers to steer on hence the need for a quick intervention to prevent any accident.

He pleaded to the Road Minister, Honourable Amoao Atta to find a lasting solution to it before the second term of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo comes to an end.
