Dr Hakeem Wemah of NDA Summoned Before Public Service Commission, over Documents Leakage

Dr Wemah, Board Chairman of the Northern Development Authority has denied having knowledge of how the recommendation letters got to the media when questioned at the Public Service Commission, he is expected to reappear at the Commission for better explanation and directives.

Board Chairman of the Northern Development Authority (NDA), Dr Hakeem Ahmed Wemah has been summoned before the Public Service Commission for allegedly sharing recommendation letters to the public, which disregards the confidentiality of the Commission, Soireenews can report.

Dr Wemah was summoned on Monday 19th April 2021 to also explained his failure to discuss with his Board Members and implement the recommendations addressed to him by the Public Service Commission.

Surprisedly, the recommendation letters which was issued to the Chairman after the Commission interviewed the former CEO, Dr Anamzoya and his deputies were found in the mainstream media space and social media platforms before its implementation.

It was however believed that, the Board Chairman who is the sole recipient of the letters chosen to use the media to publicize the recommendations instead of respecting the commission's directives and confidentiality.

A source at the Northern Development Authority told this portal that, the development has created mistrust among the Board Members and top Management of the authority since the recommendation letters landed in the public domain, but kept secret from the former CEO and Members of the Board.

This, according to the source might have triggered the Board Chairman summoned to the Public Service Commission (PSC).

Adding that, the Board Chairman, Dr Hakeem Ahmed Wemah for obvious reasons since his assumption in office have not constituted training for newly appointed CEOs of the authority for effective leadership skills.
