Manchester United will look to continue their good form in their Champions League against Istanbul Basaksehir in Group H on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils are performing great in the European stage but results are nothing good to write home about in the Premier League as they lie 15 on the table after six matches.

They top their group following a 2-1 win against PSG in France and a huge 5-0 scoreline in their encounter with RB Leipzig last week. Their recent loss was against Arsenal last Sunday and according to the manager, consistency is something he hopes to find to keep results on their side especially at the domestic stage although he observes his in a better position to beat any team in the Champions League.

“Every player is frustrated after the [1-0 Premier League loss to Arsenal],” he said during the pre-match on Tuesday.

“We need consistency from every one of our players. The main thing is working hard, trying to improve. We want to be consistent. Last season when we found consistency we achieved third in the Premier League and Champions League football."

On the question of why United is better in Europe as compared to the Premier League, Harry Maguire was unable to identify the setback and revealed that “it is not something we can’t put our finger on. Our league results haven’t been as successful, but we go in with the same focus and preparation.”

Dean Henderson is expected to start ahead of David De Gea after the manager defined him to be doing well in training. The former Sheffield United goalkeeper will make his first appearance this season as announced by the manager.

“I think you’ve got a chance to see all 23 players tomorrow. Dean has been great in training and in games, you will see the team when we start.”
