The Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Executive Hon Iddrisa Quattara has charged Ghanaians who are against the e-levy to vote against the party in 2024.

He said, instead of resorting to coup D'etat which destabilizes the peace of the country, the ballot box should be the only peaceful available means to register their displeasure.
He observed that “the recent calls by certain individuals that a coup D'etat be staged in the country is something Ghanaians shouldn't entertain”.
He was speaking when he met poultry farmers in the municipality.
The MCE disclosed that “ it is prudent Ghanaians accept the e-levy because the government cannot undertake developmental projects without money”.
He said the government spend over GHC 5.4m alone on free SHS beneficiaries in the Dormaa SHS alone hence the need to raise revenue through the e-levy.
The convener of pressure group #FixTheCountry, Oliver Barker-Vormawor is tasting for a coup in the country.
In a series of Facebook posts ahead of the demonstration against the E-levy, Barker-Vormawor described the Ghana Army as “useless” for not acting despite the hue and cry over the bill.
“If this E-Levy passes after this cake bullshit, I will do the coup myself. Useless Army!” Barker-Vormawor said in one of the posts.
In another post, he said: “Okay, let’s try again. If this E-Levy still passes after this cake bullshit, then may God….Help us to resist oppressor’s rule, With all our will and might forevermore. (2x) Useless Army. Anaa, the value is the same?”
His comments have been condemned by a section of Ghanaians for inciting the army to stage a coup over the controversial E-Levy bill in Parliament
