Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have to prove himself against Everton if he wants to keep his Manchester United job.

The Norwegian is under increasing pressure after his poor start of the season. The Red Devils are spotted on the 15th position of the Premier League table having won two and lost three, with the recent loss occurring on Sunday to Arsenal.

The manager is yet to win a home game in the Premier League despite his impressive home form in Europe.

The arrival of Edinson Cavani, Donny van de Beek, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri was to steady the ship and get the team back on track but not as expected.

The 47-year-old on Wednesday night lost 2-1 in the Champions League game against Istanbul Basaksehir, a game which has raised tensions among United fans calling for the sack of the manager.

TalkSPORTS has disclosed that Manchester United is in talks with Mauricio Pochettino over the possibility of becoming the next manager at Old Trafford.

Although, no benchmark has been set for the current underperforming boss yet his failure to win against Everton could lessen his chances of retaining his job.

The Toffees have suffered back to back defeat in the league and would be on guard to end that run after falling from first to fourth on the PL table.

Solskjaer has won 55 out of 101 games, drawing 21 and losing 25 since taking charge of United last season.
