The Central Regional Minister Hon. Marigold Assan has assured the Chiefs, Elders and the people of Awutu that contractors sooner than later come on their various roads yard their roads for them.

The Paramount Chief of Awutu Traditional Area, Nai Abokuadi Agyemang Wyettey Otabi III has appealed to the government through the Central Regional Minister Honourable Marigold Assan to convert the Apra Forest to a Tourist site.

According to the Traditional  Leader, since 1959 many people have encroached on the forest which has led to its depreciation and since that is the only largest forest in their area, he has called on the Forestry Commission as well as Tourism Ministry to gearset the forest for them.

Nai Agyemang Wyettey Otabi III further disclosed that their roads are in deplorable states and government must come to their aid.

He made this pronouncement to the media when the Central Regional Minister Hon. Marigold Assan paid a courtesy visit to Awutu Senya East and West.

"All road users and commuters who use Awutu Bawjiase to Agona Swedru road always complain bitterly, "he added. 

The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Marigold Assan took the opportunity and assured the Chiefs, Elders and the people of Awutu that contractors will soon start putting the roads in a better shape.
