The newly appointed Bono Regional Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Rev. Dr. Francis Ohene Agyekum, has pledged to reclaim the church properties in the area that some people have encroached upon.

He claimed that Assemblies of God Ghana's purpose is to plant 5,000 churches by the year 2030 and that they will require those lands for the projects.

He stated it is regrettable that these strategically important sites have been taken by encroachers and that his administration will make every effort to recover and defend the church's lands at Fiapre, Yawhema, Bernie Nkwanta, and Sunyani magazine.

He further stated that a group comprised of Nananom, lands officials, pastors, and a legal officer had been established and that his administration would provide the committee with the necessary resources to work successfully in returning the lands to the church.

The Assemblies of God pastors in rural communities are struggling, according to the regional superintendent, and his administration will help them.

He pledged to eliminate the four-year Assemblies of God Suppretendent rule in the area.
