The Nananom of Techiman Traditional Area in the Bono East region is calling the government to revive the monthly cleanup exercise to help deal with sanitation issues in the country.

Nana Owusu Antwi Boasiako II, Kentenhene and Chairman of Techiman Traditional Council Sanitation Committee speaking on behalf of the chiefs called on Ghanaians to have a change of attitude towards sanitation to save the country from wasting money in dealing with canker.

He made this call in Techiman when the Traditional Council partnered with Zoomlion Ghana to hold a cleanup exercise with drivers, traders, security personnel and well-meaning residents at the lorry station and central market.

On his part, the Bono East regional Manager for Zoomlion Ghana, Mr George Manu commended all who participated and revealed that the exercise will be repeated from time to time to keep our towns clean.

Mr Charles Kwarteng Acheampong Techiman Municipal Environmental Health Officer called on the citizenry to make regular cleaning a habit in fighting the sanitation canker.
