Tanzania experts probe deadly mysterious illness

Tanzania is looking into a strange ailment that has killed three people in the south of the nation.

There have been a total of 13 cases recorded in the Lindi district, and the patients all displayed Ebola or Marburg-like symptoms.

Fever, excruciating headaches, exhaustion, and bleeding, particularly from the nose, have been present.

However, according to preliminary lab test findings, the Ebola and Marburg viruses are ruled out in these cases by the health ministry.

It claimed five persons were currently in isolation and contact tracing was happening.

Dr. Aifelo Sichalwe, chief medical officer, has asked Tanzanians to maintain their composure while investigations are ongoing.

He also recommended anyone displaying the same symptoms get help right now.
