Senegal opposition wants official poll results delayed

The official announcement of Sunday's parliamentary election results has been delayed, according to the opposition in Senegal.

The election commission was scheduled to officially declare the results on Thursday, but Déthié Fall, the head of the opposition coalition group, requested a delay so that it could investigate any anomalies.

A further alliance representative highlighted reports of fraud at polling places in northern regions.

Based on incomplete results, both the opposition coalition and President Macky Sall's ruling coalition declared victory on Monday.
