Mastermind of terror attacks on US embassies killed
According to Mr. Biden, Zawahiri was the mastermind of the 223 fatal August 1998 attacks on the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

President Joe Biden has revealed that the US murdered Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda, in an Afghani drone operation.
He was slain on Sunday during a CIA counterterrorism operation in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.
Al-Qaeda was led by Zawahiri after Osama Bin Laden's death in 2011.
According to Mr. Biden, Zawahiri was the mastermind of the 223 fatal August 1998 attacks on the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
