Nana Kwao Ampem Ababio, Chief of Sefwi Amafie says farmers or residents of Sefwi Suhinso should stay away from illegal farming activities within the Suhinso forest reserve.

Nana Kwao Ampem Ababio, Chief of Sefwi Amafie who doubles as Dabehene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council has warned farmers or residents of Sefwi Suhinso in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality of Western North Region to depart from illegal farming activities within the Suhinso forest reserve.

Nana Kwao Ampem Ababio stated that it is the responsibility of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council to protect the forest from any illegal activities.

Due to that the Omanhene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, Katakyie Kwasi Bumagamah has bought drones for the Sefwi Wiawso District Forestry Division Service to monitor the forest from any illegal activities whiles they are in office.

He further stated that government should not put only the attention on galamsey rather, on those given permission to work in the forest and at the same time doing illegal activities in the forest

That's notwithstanding, Nana Kwao Ampem Ababio urged the good people of Western North to avail themselves of the inoculation exercise of covid-19 when their time is due and also appeal to the residents to cooperate with the health officials

He made the disclosure at a mini durbar to purify the black stool at Sefwi Suhinso.
