He symbolized his commitment towards the green initiative by sponsoring the acquisition of Two Hundred and Fifty (250) cages to protect the seedlings after they've been planted.

The Ashanti Regional Chapter of Spartans joined forces in planting Six Hundred seedlings along the stretch of Santasi and Obuasi linking Asafo. In addition, Spartans adopted as a responsibility to ensure that the trees planted on the aforementioned stretch blossom.

The Regional Chapters of Spartans for NPP across the country participated in this important activity in the respective regions.

The Founder and President, Hon. Frederick Green together with Hon. Osei Assibey; Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Benito Owusu Bio; Deputy Minister-designate for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr David Oppong; Metro Director, and staff of KMA were in the Ashanti Region to fully participate in this exercise.

"And, for those who bought into the urgency and participated in this exercise, we most appreciate your support.

“Let's all endeavour see to it that the target (i.e., to plant 5m trees) is materialized to help counteract the depletion of our trees.

“We must conserve and protect the natural environment to avoid biodiversity loss," he added.
