Six robbery suspects have been apprehended by police in the Greater Accra and Central Regions.

During interrogations, the six suspects – Jibrila Musa alias Danturi, Hussain Sampa, Daniel Acquah, Anthony Sackey, Michael Ojo, and Ade Banjor – confirmed their involvement in different robberies, according to a police statement released on Monday.

According to them, the arrest took place between April 15 and April 17 in various locations across Greater Accra and the Central Regions, thanks to a focused intelligence-led operation.

During interrogations, the six suspects – Jibrila Musa alias Danturi, Hussain Sampa, Daniel Acquah, Anthony Sackey, Michael Ojo, and Ade Banjor – confirmed their involvement in different robberies, according to a police statement released on Monday.

The suspects are currently being held in police custody and are cooperating with the investigation.

"During interrogation, the suspects admitted to their involvement in robberies throughout the years." According to a police statement, "we have contacted some of the victims as part of our strategy to give them closure over their bad experiences with these armed bandits."

The suspects were found with one locally-made gun, one foreign pistol, a store of ammo, two iPhones, four wristwatches, and one stolen vehicle, according to the police.

"All criminals and their associates must advise themselves and know that they can run, but they can never hide," the statement continued. The cops will go to whatever length to apprehend them and bring them to justice."

The police reassured the public that they are dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment free of illegal activity.
