Shai Osudoku: We have been neglected for social amenities - Residents of Doryumu cry out

Residents of Doryumu in the Shai Osudoku  District of the Greater Accra Region have said, they have been neglected for social amenities in the district for years.

Speaking to Rite FM news, residents of the area stated that, the lack of social amenities such as a good road network, health facilities, and others has been a major challenge to them bemoaning that, authorities have refused to adhere to their plea.

In an interaction with the Chief and the Youth, they disclosed that the only source of Road serving the three,(3) communities,  Kordeabe, Ayekuma, and Doryumu, is unhealthy for consumption.

Adding to it, the people of the area stressed the difficulties during the dry season as residents are forced to purchase sachets water from the district capital Dodowa for a living which ost them a lot due to the deplorable nature of the road connecting the district capital.

"Because our roads are bad even when our kids or anyone get sick, we don't get a vehicle to convey them to hospital " residents Stated.

"There are a lot of Companies activities going here but they have refused to employ the youth", they added.

 Our road is in a deplorable state of which if someone is seriously sick, we have to convey the sick person on a motorcycle this becomes a worry to us " a resident Doryumu Stated.

Because the community is lacking such amenities, Nurses have been refused to accept postings to a well-constructed Health center in the community said by the residents.

They are appealing to the authorities of the district, NGOs, philanthropists, and other individuals who wish to help them to come to their aid in solving some of their challenges.
