Bukayo Saka is expected to get the nod over Jadon Sancho on England’s clash with Denmark ahead of tonight’s semi-final encounter at Wembley Stadium.

The Arsenal winger was left out of the England squad for the 4-0 victory over Ukraine in the quarters as a precaution due to a minor ankle injury.

The Borussia Dortmund star -- Sancho who will join Manchester United for £73million after the tournament, stepped in and forced his way into contention with an impressive performance.

However, the 21-year-old Dortmund winger will lose his place to Saka, who shone during victories over the Czech Republic and Germany.

The Three Lions are likely to stick with their 4-2-3-1 formation, the same system used in every match of the tournament except the last-16 win over Germany, when they matched their opponents’ 5-2-3 shape.

Reports suggest that Phil Foden and Jack Grealish are also set to miss out on a place in the starting XI as Gareth Southgate makes just one change from the thrashing of Ukraine.

Speaking before the game, the England manager said “In terms of the system, we have always been flexible.

“We have to pick the right approach for the opponent.

“Our players know how to counter various systems and it is great because we understand our own patterns and means we have a consistency with how we operate”

Southgate has stressed the need for his Three Lions to be tactically versatile, though, with Denmark known for shape-shifting during games.
