Sack Non-Educationist GES DG Now! - LMPC Tells Nana Addo
Let My Profession Count which is a vibrant union within the education guild  has added its voices to the many calls to terminate the appointment of the current Director General (DG) of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Dr Eric Nkansah, as soon as possible.
Addressing the media today, the leader of the group, Mr David Opoku Boahen, said that it’s an eyesore to choose an accountant to lead educationists in the country.
Mr. Boahen added that, under no circumstance can a teacher hold office in a banking sector. However, calling on H. E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to revoke his decision and call the immediate past DG back to continue his projects.
“They fed us up with Nana Addo. How can you choose an accountant to lead the entire education fraternity? Don’t we have qualified ones to do the job? It’s awfully unpleasant how the President is treating teachers. We are given him some two weeks to call Prof. Opoku Amankwa back or face our wrath,’ he reiterated.
He called CSO and other well-meaning Ghanaians to add their voices to the plea to call Prof. Opoku Amankwa back.
“I am pleading with the educationists all over the world to add their voices to our plea to call Prof. Back. We cannot work with the current DG,” he established.
