Russia accused Ukraine of bombing an oil facility during the conflict in Ukraine.

An oil storage station in a Russian city just north of Ukraine is on fire, allegedly as a result of an attack by two Ukrainian helicopters, according to the local governor.

A fire near apartment towers in Belgorod, around 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the border, is shown in a video published on Twitter.
Rockets appear to be striking the oil depot in several clips.

Ukraine has not previously struck targets in Russia, and Ukrainian officials have not corroborated Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov's claim.
Belgorod, with a population of 370,000, is located just north of Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, which has been repeatedly shelled by Russian artillery and is still surrounded by Russian forces.

"There was a fire at the oil depot because of an airstrike carried out by two Ukrainian army helicopters, which entered Russian territory at low altitude," Governor Gladkov said in a Telegram message. He went on to say, "Nobody was killed."

He said firefighters were working to put out the fire as quickly as possible and that residents were not in danger. The ministry of emergencies shared a video of the fire on Telegram.

Residents in the area were evacuated, and two individuals were hurt at the depot, according to the Interfax news agency. According to the report, eight fuel tanks were on fire, and over 200 firefighters were dispatched to the area. Rosneft, the Russian national oil company, operates the storage.

On March 29, numerous explosions were recorded near Belgorod at a munitions storage.
