A surgeon at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Francis Epilla, has revealed that Sampa Government Hospital has recently been referring most breast cancer cases to their facilities which need to be taken into consideration to reduce the ailment to improve better health conditions among the women.

Dr Epilla was apeaking in an exclusive interview with Ark FM during a health screening programme organized by Sampa Government Hospital in the Jaman North District of the Bono region in partnership with Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital and Weil Cornel Medicine Center in celebration of the breast cancer awareness month.
Dr. Francis Epilla denoted that they realize most cases reported to their facilities are mostly from Sampa Government hospital for which reason made them selected Sampa to engage them in the screening to detect the level of the breast cancer and how to combat the menace. 

He added that most women who went through the screening were detected with breast cancer and other ailments hence they will ensure continuous visits to the facilities in Sampa to offer other health screenings programs to save lives.
The hospital administrator for the Sampa Government Hospital, Mr. Gerald Binney, expressed gratitude to the organizers of the program for making sure residents of Jaman north also benefit from the activities of the breast cancer awareness month. He yearned for other health screening programs to take effect in the district to ensure efficacious healthcare delivery. 

The Jaman North District public health nurse, Madam Rose Gyasi pleaded with all and sundry to take advantage of every health screening activity that may be carried out in the district to sustain quality health status. 

She disclosed that their office is open to groups and institutions that need sensitization services to its members indicating that they are ready to deliver maximum education to ensure promising healthcare. 

Some beneficiaries of the health screening program expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the Sampa Government Hospital for giving them the opportunity to know their status as far as breast cancer is a concerned.
