The Paediatric Nurse Specialist of the Sampa Government Hospital, Mr.John Ofori Henneh has indicated that cancer is a very crucial and dangerous ailment in the country. 
He noted that, for that matter, most people have taken advantage of the dangers and threats of cancer to express fear and panic to victims with myths and falsehoods.
He indicated that most people have it in mind that once you are diagnosed with cancer, it ends up your life.
He refutes the claims, insisting that cancer is manageable and curable when detected and tackled earlier.

Mr. Henneh indicated that according to research, about 80% of Childhood cancer detected among children in 2021 were well treated hence the need for the public to end the misconceptions surrounding cancer to help tackle it. 
He added that most parents refuse Doctors' advice when they are referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for further examinations when their wards are suspected of cancer with the mindset that cancer cannot be treated hence there is no need of wasting their time and money. 
He pleaded with Ghanaians to desist from what he described as a *negative mindset* on cancer by ensuring that they adhere to doctors' advice to help them diagnose the ailment early for immediate treatment and medications.
