Dormaa East: All sanitation issues will be solved this year- DCE assures

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Dormaa East, Honourable Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang has assured his people to calm nerves as the Assembly prepares to end their sanitation problems this year.

He was responding to concerns of some Assembly members and people in the District raised over their sanitation issues.

The Assemblymember for Dome Agogo electoral area in Dormaa Akwamu, Honourable Dennis Oppong Kyeremeh appealed to the Assembly to contact the contractor who is working on their toilet facility project to come and complete the project for use.

He also added that, refuse dump is taking over the community which is posing a health threat to the people.

This is what attracted the assurance from the DCE for all those challenges to be handled this year.

Honourable  Agyemang added that sanitation is a challenge in the District hence the Assembly is facing financial difficulties but they budgeted for the evacuation of all refuse dumps in the area this year.

He said, his outfit is working tirelessly to resolve the problem even though it is financially restrained.

He disclosed that the toilet facility project is one of the 1 million Dollar projects under the Middle Belt Development Authority projects and the Assembly have contacted them to come and supervise the facility before completion and handing over.
