Re-introduction of Chaplaincy, laudable Bishop Charles Abban

The President of the International Clergy Association of Ghana, Bishop Dr. Charles Abban is upbeat that the introduction of the Chaplaincy in the organization will help to mitigate workplace concerns.

The revamp, he said if done successfully will help correct many anomalies in workplaces, schools, and society at large. Bishop Abban made the remarks in an interview at sidelines of a programme dubbed "Shepherd to Shepherd" where individuals in Chaplaincy were officially inducted into office.

According to Bishop Abban, the idea of revisiting Chaplaincy outside of the Church would encourage many to be committed to the worthy course. He further appealed that schools and workplaces not be left out from the considerations. Asked whether the curriculum is flexible enough to accommodate the chaplaincy department, he suggested an office must set up for it on the various campuses and workplaces. Finally, he expressed satisfaction about the leadership for the initiative and hoped it will be embraced by all. Chaplaincy is a member of the clergy to offer spiritual assistance in every group within and without the church. Shepherd to Shepherd has come a long way in the transformation of the individual among an organization. Chaplaincy should be seen as a blend to reach out to people.
