Rather than hiring Agric officers to replant cocoa, COCOBOD should give us the money

Cocoa farmers in the Juabuso district of the Western North Region have requested that Cocobod pay them during cocoa rehabilitation since the officials are failing to do their jobs.

The officials, the farmers claim, are not assisting them in any way because the money invested is not theirs.
"Cocobod should stop making decisions for them, especially by bringing in the weeding gang," he said, "and instead pass over the money to them since they know what is best for them."
There is no improvement for a farmer with 32 acres of the cocoa farm.

Cocobod officers, according to Madam Twenewaa Janet, exclude them from labour, while there is no way for them to earn money, which is their sole source of income.
